This notice covers the splash page at schemia.com and the emails you get after you use it.

Who we are

What we collect

Your first name and your email address, because you typed them into the form. When you submit it, Kit also records your IP address and the time, which is how we can show you consented.

Why, and on what basis

To send you occasional emails about Schemia while we build it, and to tell you when you can try it. That is all we use it for.

Our lawful basis is your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR. You gave it by submitting the form. Giving us your details is entirely voluntary. There is no contract and nothing happens if you do not.

Who else sees it

Kit (Kit Inc., United States) runs our email list. Cloudflare serves this site. Plausible gives us anonymous aggregate analytics with no cookie and nothing personal in it. The current list is at /sub-processors.

Sending it to the United States

Kit is in the United States. The transfer relies on the International Data Transfer Addendum issued by the Information Commissioner, which is incorporated into Kit's data processing addendum. We will send you a copy on request.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe, or 24 months after the last email we send you, whichever comes first. Then we delete you from Kit.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict what we do with it, to object, and to have it sent to you or someone else in a portable form.

You can withdraw your consent whenever you like, using the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing privacy@schemia.com. Withdrawing does not undo what we did before.

Complaining

You can complain to us at privacy@schemia.com. We will acknowledge it within 30 days and tell you what we decided.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, and you do not have to come to us first.

What we do not do

No automated decision-making, no profiling, no advertising, and we do not sell or rent your details.
